On the way to the funeral of their estranged father, siblings Rob and James, along with their respective partners, search for a place to grab a bite to eat and stretch their legs. Along the bare stretch of highway, the group comes across a roadside diner. They meet the owners and after a strange meal and off-putting conversation, they continue on their way. The course of their trip is suddenly changed by a fatal car accident. Wrought with fear and guilt for what they've done, the group returns to the diner to call the police—and whatever help they can find.
From this deceptively simple setup, BOXCUTTER becomes a relentless assault of suspense, violence, and nail-biting tension.
